New Procedures – Member Information

First and foremost, in our facility your health and safety are our top priorities.

Over the last few weeks, we have taken steps to ensure that you feel safe while working out in our facility.
o We have implemented recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and established enhanced cleaning and disinfection procedures.
o We have also implemented social distancing measures in our facility and placed talking points with recommendations about social distancing for our customers around the gym.

In line with those measures, and following a recent directive from the CDC, Bigwood Fitness will ask that you begin conducting Self Health Screening checks for all Patrons effective 5/18/20.
o The screening is mandatory, and those who do not comply will be asked to leave the facility.
o The screening will take place at the Entrance of the facility. All Patrons must complete the self screening before entering to use the equipment. Along with the self screening we ask that you wash your hands after entering and before using equipment.

The health screenings will be conducted by YOU, by reading and evaluating a short list of health-related questions.

The shortlist of questions are:
Do you have any of the following symptoms that are unusual for you?
 Cough?
 Shortness of breath?
 Sore throat?
 Chills and body aches?

Do you have any of the following symptoms?
 Diarrhea?
 Nausea/vomiting?

 Do you have, or feel like you have a fever?
 Do you have a member of your household suspected or diagnosed with COVID-19?

If you answer “yes” to any of the questions during the health screening, you will be asked to go home. Please DO NOT ENTER THE FACILITY!
o Once home please notify your local physician or family doctor for guidance.
o Please follow the Physicians guidance, especially if asked to Quarantine. Do not come to the facility if under quarantine or you will be asked to leave.
o If anyone in your household has COVID-19, please do not come or enter the facility. Please follow your Physicians guidelines.
o If you have been around a friend or family member that has COVID-19 Please do not come or enter facility. Please follow your Physicians guidelines.
o If you exhibit any symptoms by staff members or we become aware that you do not comply with the above recommendations, you will be asked to leave.

 Along with Self Screening we ask that you wear fresh laundered workout cloths before entering the facility.

 We also ask that you practice social distancing to the best of your ability. Please try to keep 6 feet in between you and another member. Please do not bunch up and utilize every other machine.

 Classes will be limited to 50% of occupancy or what is needed to maintain 6 feet distance from other members.
 Do not share equipment.
 The lounge area will be closed through the first three phases. Gathering in this location is prohibited.
 Do not congregate in the restrooms, please maintain 6 feet distance.
 We understand that wearing a mouth and nose guard is difficult when working out so doing so is not required, but recommended. If you do not wear one, please be mindful of your fellow patrons around you, please keep distance.
 We will be disinfecting the facility continuously throughout the day, and we would like all patrons to follow the member code of conduct.

Member Code of Conduct: All members will be asked to DO THEIR PART by disinfecting before and after each equipment use, and doing everything they can to protect those around them.We care about each other, Spray a little love…..Together we’ll help stop the spread of this virus in our communities.

Know how it spreads
There is currently no vaccine to prevent coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus.
The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person.
o Between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet).
o Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes or talks.
o These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs.
o Some recent studies have suggested that COVID-19 may be spread by people who are not showing symptoms.
Wash your hands often
 Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or
after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
 If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
 Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

Cover coughs and sneezes

 If you are in a private setting and do not have on your cloth face covering, remember to always cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow.
 Throw used tissues in the trash.
 Immediately wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not readily available, clean your hands with a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
