290 lbs is what I was working with for a quite sometime. And to be honest, there was a point in my life where 290 lbs just felt comfortable. But I knew in the back of my mind that number was not healthy. My weight loss story began back in March of 2012. I decided for myself that it was time for a change. “It’s either now or never Osiel.” I said to myself. No more excuses. A friend of mine told me to check out a gym called Bigwood Fitness. With doubt that this would only be a phase, I hesitantly got a membership. I started off slow & only used the elliptical. Since even the treadmill intimidated me. I would see a group of people heading downstairs to go to Bootcamp. Many people told me to give it a try but in my mind I was not leaving the one machine I was comfortable with. Until one day Rob Driemeyer knocked some sense into me. “O.C. This machine is only going to do so much for you. Come downstairs & give Bootcamp a try.” Long story short I am down to 230 lbs & feel like I can take on anything! This year I will be competing in a series Spartan Races which is now a sport I love to do! I will forever be grateful to Rob & the entire Bigwood Fitness team. Nutrition & fitness is now a passion of mine & love spreading the word of living a healthier lifestyle.

Rob Moved to the Wood River Valley in 2002 with Albertson’s, and continued his care for sport and fitness by exercising at Blaine County Fitness while playing county sports. In 2011 Rob took his fitness to the next level when he and Co-owner Donnie Green bought the facility they trained in, becoming Bigwood Fitness. In 2013 while training at his local community center, home to Bigwood Fitness, Rob’s ACE certification as a personal trainer left him yearning for more than your average Boot camp. Referred to him by a good friend, he started his addiction with CrossFit by viewing and following CrossFit.com. Rob knew if he were to up the ante he would have to get certified. Shortly after enrolling, visiting, and passing his CrossFit Level One Trainer course he began to pursue coaching. He has been training and coaching at Bigwood Fitness and KDR CrossFit since then, and continues the evolution of fitness for himself and his clients. Rob continues to work as an Assistant General Manager of Albertsons Hailey/Sun Valley. This experience allows Rob to blend an economical nutrition style, group organizational skills, and coaching style of employees and students, with his approach to athletes at Bigwood Fitness and KDR CrossFit. Rob lives in Hailey, ID with his wife Lillian and dog Trigger. When not being a Grocer, training, or coaching, he enjoys being outside, Hiking, Snowboarding, and Fishing…and if the time is right, a tall glass of wine!
